Have a 1991 Ranger XLT. Wanted to order the Lund cold weather kit or semi cold weather kit, the one with the pin holes in the plastic pieces that go up front into the grill.
Local parts dealer tried and said he couldn't get them anymore for 91's. Anyone have any ideas on other suppliers.
Just so happens I have a set of the Lund Cold Front inserts for my 91 XLT 2.3L. Got them about 5 years ago when I was in Ohio; now I live in South Georgia and I don't use them anymore.
They're in good shape. I have all the pieces (12 section grill) with the clips, extraction tool (not really needed) and instructions. I recall I paid about 50 bucks for the set. If you're interested, you can have them for, say, 25 bucks including shipping.
Well thank you - that sounds just fine to me. To be clear, I would like the ones with what I call the pin holes in them - not solid. Please let me know if that's what you have.
The part number you're looking is for a screenfront (perforated) the cold front is the non-perforated. 28030 is the part number if you have the 91, non-stx ranger. there was no coldfront available for your truck.
They're still available, as we supposedly have 38 in the warehouse here.
Thanks Lund Guy - I got the same answer the other day from Lund Direct - I finally called. I can only guess the Truckin America warehouse folks let their sales personnel down by not trying very hard.
OK, I checked the JCWhitney site to see what the one you're talking about looks like. No, the set I have are the solid inserts, with the clip through the middle of each piece.
