I can't seem to find a straight answer about the "Bulge" brand shocks that come equipped on the 'OFF-ROAD' package Rangers. Even the local Ford dealership was no help.

Anyway, the question thats burning in me is: If they are supposedly "Bulge Brand"--who manufactures these shocks?

Any help at all on these shocks is appreciated!

yeah, I'm sure...The literature and window sticker that came with Ranger says 'Bulge Brand' shocks. As far as I know, they only come on the trucks equipped with the 'Off-Road' package. I'm just trying to figure out who makes them -- and what exactly the big deal is.

 

I believe that on my 99 they are Bilstiens. I could be wrong, but I feel pretty sure. Bulge seemed like a product name. Hope this helps you out.
