Superduty Stop-Turn Lights question.
I own a 2000 F-350 XL SRW cab-chassis. (see my avatar...) I've decided to put new LED lights in the back. I've started the process, but I've noticed that my stop and turn current runs on the same wire. (It's striped green on the left and striped orange on the right.) I need to have separate stop and separate turn currents. With it's current configuration, my turn signals will light up when stopping as well.
From wiring schematics, I know the stop merges with the turn. But my question is, does anybody know where it does. It's gonna be a pain to chase conduit and wires everywhere.
Thanks!

That wire is the feed up to the multifunction sw (directional sw)
That wire goes into the multi sw on pin#1
As a test remove the LG wire from the Brake sw.This will seperate the feed
Your going have to run a new wire to the rear lights from that wire.
Chk your schematics
There were no directions with these lights?
Rich
I don't know about your led lights and how they are setup,I'm just answering your ?

Directions? Haha...None whatsoever.
The lights are Grote round 4 inch 10 diode LED lights. reguy
Don't forget that power/brake feed is still going through the multi sw,unless
you remove the lg wire .
According to my schematics the highmount stop lamp feed is before the multisw
The high mount is a good place to tie in ,but the feed from the multi sw neds to be removed.
My thoughts

So if you have this you have brake light only wire at the back. I found it when I split the loom open to the trailer plug wiring to add a second plug. Probably easiest way to get turn signal only wires to the back would be to run new wires from the front turn signals back. You should be able to pick them up at the firewall.

I found the exact wire you're talking about for the stop only. On my 2000 350, it's a solid light green wire. I already fed it to my new CHMSL.
I can't find a turn signal only wire, they're still integrated with the stop. I figure I'm gonna have to do what you said...run them from the front signals back. Sigh...
Thanks,
