flywheel question
I just got through putting a replacement 302 in my jeep but am having vibration problems and am confused on some information. To start with the 302 I removed is a mid 70s engine, the one I replaced it with is an 83 model. I started by using the harmonic balancer for the newer engine but switched it after noticing the vibration. But still had the vibration. The flywheel and clutch was bought for an 80 model ford truck, since that was where I got the transmission. the question is, does the flywheel and harmonic balancer counterbalance(whether 28 oz or 50 oz) each other or do they counterbalance the crank?
