Radio Removal

I was trying to take my radio out . I bought the tool to take it out and was able to get only the left side loose. any tricks ? I never ran it to this with my 89

I had problems with mine also.I used a screwdriver to help with the lft side.Insert the tool,abgle it slightly and use a screwdriver to wedge it out.Should work.

The only trick is to pull firmly, but slowly, and wiggle things a little bit as you try. A screwdriver can help, but be careful not to tear into the surround, it breaks easily on 91 back, and 92-96 they are foam covered vinyl, and tear easily.

Thanks guys I was able to get the radio out, BUT, when I pulled the speaker plug off two wires broke off from the plug.The wires are the in the top two slots one is orange with a green stripe the other is black with a white stripe . Dose anyone know were they go? Thanks
