1st Time GP replacement
Turns out that I had 5 GP's bad, this will effect the GP controler - so decided to replace all GP's
Tools: 1/4 drive 3/8 socket, universal, extensions, thread coating N/S, most important a good set of extended needle nose pliers. 30 pack of your fav. brew ( I know you only think you need a 6 pack - wait till you get to the ones under the turbo)
Remove air filter assembly. Start with the drivers side. Vacuum or blow out all dirt before you start. Remove plastic connector (rotate before pulling off) remove GP. Install new one Motorcraft # ZD-9 (F2TZ-12A342-A) make sure you remove all plastic covering from the GP, coat thread with N/S, test before installing (use the test lite to +, ground thread, test lite tip on tip of GP) Install a 4 on this bank. Other bank, 2 are easy, as easy as the other bank. Now the fun starts (check yuor brew supply befor proceeding) the last 2 are under the turbo, can hardly see them let alone replace. Use long Needle nose to remove connector, extension and universal undo GP, with NN remove GP. Replace using NN then tighten with universal-extension.
Word of caution when doing the turbo's the solenoid for the GP's has power all the time DO NOT short out.
Now that I have finished (2.5hrs the Turbo one took .5 hrs each) I just have to get the imprint of the A/C compressor out of MY rear end.
