When I switched from a single program chip to a flip chip I lost some bottom end but gained top end. I was told stacking an Edge with my flip chip would bring back the bottom end and gain a little mid and top. With the waste gate disconected I've got 30 lbs boost and egt's are at about 1200 on the floor. My question is, does any one have this type of combination and what type of results. I'm looking at a water/meth injection to control egt if it becomes a problem. The only towing is a 4 wheeler trailor, maybe 1200 lbs. You can say I'm trying to keep up with the Jones's.
I gotta believe you didn't loose anything by merely switching chips - but rather you don't have the same tune on the new chip. As expensive as and Edge-EZ is - you'd be better off getting a different tune put on your new flip chip.
If you really want one - I've got an Edge E-Z - but it doesn't really do much of anything with my chip. It makes the transmission shift goofy and makes the go pedal so touchy that you can't pull out without spinning - on my truck at least.....
