Heater control and fan
In my 93 F350 w/ 460 engine the fan started making noise the other night. When I turned off the heater the noise stopped and I fugured it was the fan. I looked at how to remove the fan and it seem pretty easy except for all those wires and hoses in the way. Has anyone else had a problem with the fan suddenly making a lot of noise? Did replacing the motor fix the problem.
I noticed this control item on the top { In my Haynes manual it is called the Heater Funtion Control Motor.} that I think opens and closes the vent flap but there is a white plastic vacuum line attached to it broke off and I can not see where it would attach to. The small piece that is left is full of holes. Can anyone tell me where this vacuum hose is supposed to attach to. I don't see another end flapping around in the engine compartment so maybe someone bipassed it. Can I just "T" off another vacuum line?
