Well, Howdy, thanks for explaining that to me. I'm not totally sure what I'm gonna do just yet. For the most part I just use it with my buddies around town. It's not like I really need the SSB, but it would be cool to brag "I can get guys 155 miles away and you can't get across town!!!!" Once again, there is the kid in me. I will have time to think about it (it's not like I'm getting it tomorrow). I guess part of it will be the cost difference. It doesn't take me very long to work off $50, or even $100. (plus maybe I can sell the old one!!!!). Thanks again
By the way, ham operators for the most part only use SSB. Since you can "punch" the signal a bit more and get into more DX areas. You can get even further with CW ... but that's provided you know Morse Code.
