Question 1948 F2 8 lug pattern

I found a 1948 F2 out in the sticks. The guy who owns the land said I could have it if I came and got it. My problem is that it has no wheels. I see that it has an 8 bolt lug pattern. Will any Ford 8 bolt pattern fit it or do I need something from the era? I'm kind of new at this but I'm looking forward to getting my hands dirty. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Yes any ford 8 bolt wheel will work up to the late 90's. I think dodge and chev even used the same pattern.

Make sure the center hole is large enough to clear the hubs. The rear hubs especially.

I switched from 17" wheels (2-piece) to 16" steel wheels from a 80's era F-250. I like the look and they were cheap ($25 each).

I believe that wheels from an F-250 or F-350 will work, any of the years up through'98, after which they went metric (170 mm). The wheels must be 8 lug on a 6-1/2" bolt circle. The hub hole is 4-3/4" diameter minimum, and the backspace (wheel mounting plane to inner edge of wheel) is 4-1/8". Also check that they will clear your brake drums. I know that C**y used the same hole pattern, but had a smaller center hole, which will not fit over your rear hubs.
