Wont fire???

Im new but I thought I would start out by telling yall my problem. I bought and 89 ranger from a guy not too long ago and he told me all it needed was a control module. Well I got a control module and replaced it and it still ont fire. I have hot wires (all 6, 3 in both coils) to my coils and not from my coils. I replaced the coils and still the same result. I was told that it could possible be the crank sensor and then someone told me about a fuel pump relay??? There are wires up by the front drivers side corner panel that have been linked with tube connectors becase OEM connections were burnt up? Anyone experienced this problem or can tell me how to go about testing the crank sensor? Also what else to look for if there is fire to good coils but not out of them. Like i said b4 all three wires on both coils are hot. Are they all supposed to be hot?? Thanks for the help.
