How do I.....

2000 PSD ExC 4x4 6sp

How do I get the remote door locks to work with my factory remote while the truck is running? Just in case I want to run inside the corner store for a cup of coffee or a beverage and not have to shut off the truck. IS there something as simple as a wire to cut?
Thanks,
Murph

Don't know if it's the same but I once left my '97 Expedition runnin' and locked the doors with remote in hand. When I got outta the store and punched the button on the remote, it wouldn't unlock the doors! Found out the hard way that it's not supposed to function with a locked, running vehicle. Try it first with spare key in hand, just in case!

A safety factor built in to keep ya from locking your keys in the vehicle. You can make it happen with a key.
