And anyone else who might of had a similar situation. I am in the process of having Ford replace my 04 6L and can not get them to waive the mileage fee of $5400(15,000mi at first problem). BeenThruIt, earlier this month you made a post that Ford waived 23,000 miles for you. can you please clarify? I am aware of the formula provided by California Lemon Laws, I can see this for some one that financed the vehicle becasue of future and present value of money and basic economics. In my case I paid cash for the vehicle because I planned for the purchase, sold some assets and searched for over 8 months to get the deal and truck I wanted. I did not plan on the truck becoming unsafe(surging and stalling very similar to many on this board PO299) or having to pay an additional $5400 less than a year later for a product that is unsafe. I told Ford I am willing to take another chance on the 6.0 if they waive the fee, but to charge me that kind of money for something that I owned out right seems very unfair regardless of law. Ford had their full investment and profit from day one and I have been out the use of my truck for towing my 5th wheel, they're out nothing and i am out a substatial investment in the use of the truck and the trailer. please to all, I am not very a frequent poster but visit often, I truely want to be a satisfied Ford Customer and hope some of you can help me with info to negotiate with Ford.
thanks in advance.
I've had several problems with my 04 F250 6.0 and now am in the process of filing for replacement under the VA lemon law. You may want to consider calling a lemon law attorney in your area for advice. It won't cost $5000 for his fee, and I bet he'll get the issue taken care of fairly quickly for you.
I am going through a buy back now my new truck will be here next week they say. I live in Oregon and the deal was MSRP to MSRP and they are waiving the milage. I presently have 24,000. I will not know for sure until the papers are signed. But if the regional rep is a man of his word I will not be penalized for milage. My deal is this like I say this should all be done next week but I don't want to rock the boat until its done. After I drive off will my new truck I will let everone know the final out come and give some names and numbers along will my history leading up to this...

beenthruit, thanks for the reply, I understand you not wanting to give names out, was the 23,000 miles you stated your total miles? what was the mileage when your problem first started? that is what they would be waiving. I just got off the phone with a mediator who is going to try to negotiate more money off, I told her I would take a chance on the 6.0 again if we could work it out, my next step is a dredded lawyer, I don't like them and hope it doesnt go to that point. I don't think I should be charged any mileage fees for a truck that I paid for in full, the difference in MSRP and any upgrades I ordered are fair and I should pay them, but I am willing to take another chance because I really do like the superduty if I could just be confident in the one I am driving.
