0320 code mystery
My 96 F150 computer logs a 0320 trouble code. The truck will run fine for 3-20 mi. then the engine just quits for 2-5 seconds. Then the truck will run nornally for the rest of the day. My dealer mech. is stumped everything checks good. Any similar problem out there?

It's an intermittent problem, so it will be hard to find. P0320 states: Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit. So that should narrow down the problem for you. It could be the pickup in the distributor, or the TFI module possibly as well. It could just be a loose wire and when you hit the right bump it kills the engine for a few seconds. Maybe try wiggling the wires near the distributor and the TFI module with the engine running to see if you can get it to stall.
