86 bronco value
The truck body has been redone, and its obvious it has a new tailgate, I'm guessing he didn't seal the tailgate right or somethign with the towels stuff in the back to keep water out.
The truck was repainted, by him i'm guessing by the nice runs down the passenger side fender wheel well. Its a nice paint job - the runs.
He's asking 3500 for this truck here in michigan, and he did drive it around for a bit.
how much is it worth?
4 speed bronco with 4wd a good find?
i'm looking for a good offer price. I might be willing to take out a loan for this one.
I got a post going in the fseries forums about my other truck and doing some parts swapping, but i duno if it will be worth it to do. The other truck is pretty rough, i don't know if i want all the work associated with swapping parts.
I'm guessing all my 91 parts should work on this bronco also considering its a 86, and my 5 bolt rims should bolt on too? Brakes the same? clutch ect?
I got brand new clutch, brand new brakes, brand new tires, special edition rims, brand new winshield and other new parts on my 91 nite that i dont want to just throw away. People dont care about those parts when buying a tottaled truck.

heres the other post. I know it seems like i'm takling redundant in it, but people arn't really challenging me for questions like iw ant them too. I want to make sure its worth it, and not get the beat around the bush answers.
As for the parts:
rims will interchange
brakes are similar, not identical. The '86 has a bolt that retains the caliper, the '91 has two metal slides that keep the caliper in place. I think the pads are the same, but I'm not positive. Rotors will swap over.
clutch should be the same, as long as it's a four speed. I'm not sure if the 5 speed clutch will interchange with the four speed.

A Three speed with Overdrive which some call a four speed this is a bad tranny.
More or less a car trans. stuck in a truck.
Also a 4 speed with a deep 1st gear this is a great trans.
Hard to get stuck with a granny low
If the sheet metal was replaced and the rust is gone The truck is worth it if it has the right trans.
If it was filled with bondo over the rust run away from it and forget you ever saw it.
Go south and get out of the rust belt you will never regret it.
I have pulled two Broncos out of CO.
I got it for 1000.00...turn key!!!
The rims are interchangable...I have mid/late 90's F-150 steel directionals on mine .
$3500.00 does seem steep...it better have a brand new Jasper engine at least for me to have considered it worth that price.

I'm sure it's the good one if its got 4wd.
I'm not sure on the body work.
It looks really good honestly. its just his painting that sucked.
The newtail gate looks okay. but its not an 86 tailgate for sure. its a lil newer like 88, but its still new, not used.
It needs some interior work i forgot to add also. I think the headliner is missing from the front.
I was more or less concerned with the pads on the ford switching over, droping almost 60-70 dollars in shoes and pads is tough to just throw away.
i'm sure its not an i6, I'm going to guess its a 302...
I dont know if i'd want to swap in my mazda tranny with 4wd on there.
i spose i could go talk to him and drive it.
but ya. i think 3500 is really expencive.
I'll go take a closer look at the body work tommarow when i drive over to the farm.
