ok guys i got one for u. I have a f350 with 10,000 miles i put a fabtech 3 inch shackle lift to level it out looks great drove great for about a month. now every once in a while i get a loud thump noise when turning i cant tell were its coming from. and i dont have to turn hard for it to do it. its sounds like a bad u joint clunking to get a idea of what it sounds like. thanks for any help
What is the configuration of your f350? Long bed? Crew cab? Do you have a one piece drive shaft. A super cab with short bed has a one piece drive shaft. Othere have a multiple piece drive shaft. Putting a lift kit will change the geometry of the powertrain enough to create some clunks. Plus, the F250-350 will let out a clunk when warmed up, parked for 20 mins or longer and then driven. About 2-3 mph rolling forward the clunk will be anywhere from slightly noticeable to "what was that?".
