Id go with a little something better than a Pioneer if you want good output form those PPI's
Mabye a JBL GTO 1201.1
does around 800 watts, which would be 400 to each woofer, and JBL amps are bullettproof!!!
good thing is that these bad boys are pretty affordable too!

I had the pioneer amp you are refering to in one of my ealier car stero set ups pesonally i think its a good amp for a small system but with the subs you have i would run a little more power then that i am prtial to JL Audio there 500/1 has a great kick and room for upgrade down the road i picked mine up for $550 pricey but if you check ebay you might find one cheaper but without waranty
