Well, I guess that link won't work!! Surprise, Surprise!! I am asking about Genuine Ford Parts out of Sherman Tx. May have to co a cut and paste on that address.
Not them specifically but most sites like that have been good to the buyers. I've heard of this specific site before and actually have them in my favorites but haven't had personal experience with them or the others. Just word of mouth from people.
Jon
Edit: I thought I should explain. That type of sites seems to be a generic site for dealerships or some companies dealing directly with the companies. Many sites like that are dealerships that are hooking into the aftermarket and internet world.
Jon is right, I have checked and they are associated with the Ford dealer in Sherman, TX. Seems a lot of dealers have found it an advantage to sell aftermarket parts to their customers since they are going to buy them anyway.
What made me curious was the price for the parts that I wanted. About
$25.00 cheaper than Mel or Rusty. (Even after haggling with Rusty for his "best price"). Their price is roughly $75.00, and on the net most places it is $62.00.
This site is priced at $49.00, so you began to wonder if your getting FOMOCO
parts, or after market junk. Even though the part numbers that they show are Ford numbers, it still makes you wonder. Hence the query about anyone else use these folks.
I think your fine. A local dealer has a bigger markup or should I say want more money for the same parts. They justify the added cost because they have someone standing at the counter helping you....(even though most parts department people at dealerships have no idea what customer service is and are generally ticked off that you bothered them).
If they are the same part number you'll get a ford part. It would be fraud to claim to be selling Ford OEM parts and send you something else.
