Strange electrical problem

i had this problem on my brothers 95 f350 psd. the problem is in the multi-function switch (turn signal switch). replace it and you'll be happy again! i had also had a wiper problem similar to DJ's on my 99 f350 sd psd...i replaced the multi-function switch and we're back to normal. get 'ir done ! been there done that !

I can add to this problem. Driving home late last night about 4 hours into trip, I'm on a two lane narrow curvy road going uphill into slight left hand turn when I meet on coming car. As soon as I dimmed my brights for him, my head lights went completely out. As soon as got past him and figured out I hadn't went down the embankment to my right, I hit dimmer switch again and lights came back on. Before I got home I had to use dimmer many times again and all worked fine until I was about 5 miles away and I had another black out (this time not in dangerous situation) Used dimmer 3 or 4 more times and all worked fine. I like to get this fixed before it happens to the wife.

i would definitely say that your problem would be in the multi-function switch. i had a thunderbird supercoupe that did the same thing. when i changed the switch all of the terminals were burnt on it.
