catalytic converter

1989 B2 is it supposed to have two converters? I only see one and I have to do some exhaust work so I was just curious.

some had one and others had two..my one bronco II has one and my other has two. The one with one cat has a resonator just before going into the muffler..the one with two convertors does not have a resonator.

both of mine have two cats and they also had the resonators untill i re did the exhaust.

Hey if I were you I'd go to my local auto parts store and pick up the haynes bronco2/ranger handbook. They are 15 bucs and well worth every penny!! I believe the number on the book is 62070. That may have you answer to this question and many more!!
