I'm Matt. I have a 87 ford ranger xlt 4x4 with a 2.9L & manual 5 speed trans. I cannot get fuel to flow. I was driving the truck @ 35mph up a grade when it just stopped running. In the past week I have changed the rear fuel pump, changed the two relays, blown air threw all the lines. I have tried to pull codes off the ECM but I get nothing. I can get the truck to run if I spray fuel into the throttle body but it shuts off when I stop. Call me Crazy or just at the end of my rope but could the ECM have gone bad???
No the rear fuel pump and the rail pump both engauge. After the two engauge there is no noise & no fuel out of either one. The rear pump is brand new.Replaced it yesterday along with the two relays.
