Somebody please tell me there is something wrong with MSN.Cause if not, that means one of my kids has tossed a wrench into my computer!Ive tried soaking it out,Ive tried scrubbing it out,but nooooooo, whenever I try to log on to read my e-mail,it just tries and tries to connect and then tells me to check this, then that, then the other.Been doing that for a couple of hours.Me thinks I might have even tossed in a wrench or two myself during this I think the next tool I reach for might be a 10lb hammer! So,PLEASE TELL ME its just something at their end.PLEASE!
Thats the part I cant figure out.I can get online via my ISP,I can log on here,I can read my outlook express mail..I just cant get MSN to recognize either one of my accounts.I can get to dellnet through IE but as soon as it asks me to sign in,things start getting loopy.I have tied logging on using my Roboform data, and by manually typing in my user name and password, but it keeps telling me to check this and that, which I have done, over and over, and over, and, well you get the idea.PASS ME A HAMMA!

Um,no.Im pretty basic in computer savy.I just tried going to windows update, and I cant access that either. The only thing I can think of is,my oldest son was on the internet while I was at work,so who knows what he might have changed!Even he doesnt know!
go into your internet properties(right click on IE iocn on desktop or it is under tools[internet options] if IE is open) and reset your security, privacy tabs to default. then try the adavnced tab to default. that might solve your problem.
Nope,I tried resetting security, privacy, and advanced to default but it still wont work.
I have even tried to reset my passport password, but it keeps saying check your connections or Their site might be having problems.Man this is driving me batty!I hope I dont have any new e-mails from my daughters!
I've had a couple episodes similar to yours after my son messed with the computer. First time he was "downloading" music through a site called kazaa which will straight up try to wreck your machine. Second time he set up AOL instant messenger which must be completely at odds with MSN because nothing much worked until I deleted the AOL stuff. Good luck.
Geez!I tried to log on this morning, and it worked! No problem what so ever!I think my computer saw the hammer and figured I wasnt foolin!Anyway,I pulled up my e-mail,and sure enough there was a e-mail from my Daughter, and about 20 e-mails from you guys!Man I love this site! You guys and gals are the best!

you probably turned your computer off for the nite? some times a reboot after changes helps get the program run the changes properly. glad to help.
Thats the weird part.I used system restore last night. After completing the restore,I went ahead and shut down for about 20 minutes. But when I tried again,it still wouldnt let me log on.I kept trying different things, till I shut down and when to bed.Now its running better that a thief in an Exlax factory!

DO NOT let your kids down load anything off Kazaa or anything else for that matter. my bosses son down loaded off kazaa and my boss had to practicly rebuild his home computor. after kazaa he ran his virus and spyware software and had 259 attacts and viruses.
