I was planning on getting the kit from Painless wiring and putting two batteries under the hood of my B2 but was told yesterday that I'd be better off just getting a deep cycle battery.
I would just suggest getting an Optima battery they are grey with a red top.
The one in my 83 f150 is currently 8 yrs old and still acts like it is new. they are expensive (around $125) but they last forever
I believe that the Optima battery can handle about anything you can throw at it. We use them in all of our machinery; in our john deere 8630 tractor we use two optima batteries in place of an "8 D" battery they work a hell of a lot better and last a lot longer. We usually get about 8 to 10 years out of an optima battery, they also work better in cold weather than other batteries. My Boss has a dual battery setup and uses Les Schwab high output batteries two days ago i had to jump start him. I did it with my pickup still shut off.
