Need electrical help
Hi, I've got a '95 f250 7.3. I'm looking for info on the brake light / emer. flasher electrical circuit. I have power to the fuses that power these circuits, but no lights at the back end. The "traditional" looking brake light switch on the master cylinder is electrically closed with brakes applied or not. There is a connector at the middle of the brake reservior on the bottom that has 3 wires going to god knows where, no power in or out with brakes applied or not. Any one out there having seen this before, or someone with a schematic willing to help would be greatly appreciated.

do you got power after the fusses and check power before and after brake switch if not pull fuse grnd the side of fuse terminal thats not hot and check for continuity at brake switch and after switch with brake pedal depressed if you got continuity the check at trailer harness and at brake light socket
The brake light switch is inside at the brake pedal. The wires on the master cylinder are for a float switch that illuminates a light on the dash when the brake fluid level is low. Your light problem is probably the multifunction switch for the turn signal, wiper, dimmier and hazard flasher. When they go bad, it usually affects the headlights or the brake lights.
