What kind of pistons? Ex... stock, dished, domed, valve reliefs That will help determin the comp ratio. And what kind of tranny?

Looks like the basic combo that gets a lot of mention on this board. Basic rebuild with better heads, mild porting, headers, and the Lunati 00096 cam.

In good tune at sea level DD estimates 392 HP @4500 and 501 lb-ft torque @3500. In a 2wd auto tranny truck application this should net you around 320 HP and 410 lb-ft torque at the rear wheel. Pretty good for a mild street build.

Heads and cam. You can force feed, but that will cost more than a set of good aftermarket heads.

With mild porting and cleanup your heads should be able to support a little more HP than your combo above, but high-rpm HP in a truck (or any heavy vehicle, for that matter) gets harder to enjoy without getting into other costly things like torque converters, gearing, suspension parts, etc. It also severely impacts daily driveability.

To make the most of the above combo, take the build above and swap in the Crane "baby" roller cam (311-2S-12) and go for an all-roller valvetrain. It will maximize off idle response and mid-range torque. Any more than that and you start having to swap out other driveline and suspension parts to get everything to hook up and live.

I reran the above combo with the only change being the roller valvetrainswap. The numbers are 439 HP @4500 and 550 lb-ft torque @3500. A big jump, but keep in mind that going to an all-roller setup, including rockers and lifters, will add a minimum of about a grand to your build.
