G'day guys. I have noticed a noise on my 7.3l that doesn't appear to be normal. What are your suggestions as to what it could be? Here are the details:

Any ideas? I have had the head checked for valve seat and guide issues, and have also had it checked for injector tube leakage, and my usual brilliant Diesel mechanic is unsure what could be causing it.
You might want to try a different brand of fuel, adding a fuel additive or an oil change, just to see if it has any effect on the sound. I have heard of bent push rods in the 7.3. It might be worth pulling the valve covers to check.
Do a search for the word "cackle". It sounds like a fuel airation problem from the pressure fittings used on the suction side of the fuel pump. Pretty easy to remedy with no more than a couple of hose clamps.
Got any pics of the Falcon besides the dyno chart? I wish they would sell those stateside.
Have updated the gallery as you requested.
I don't have a digi cam (or live near anyone that does)
These photos were taken at the stealership with their (crap) camera.
