This may be a dumb question.. I am a fairly new diesel owner (2001 F-350 63,000 miles). Ive noticed more of a crackle noise under light acceleration or around 1500 rpm. I have added more hp lately also. Should I be concerned? It sounds good at idle and during good acceleration. Mabey I just need to drive someone elses around to see if it is normal. Thanks

 

Location?temps? possible poor fuel quality and or winter blend. Try a fuel additive.

 

I am in Ga. It has been 30-60 deg outside. I usually use Diesel Clean every other fill up. But from what your saying do I lean tword the side of fuel delivery?
