I'm always banned from the kitchen when anything good is cooking 'cause I like to 'sample' the goods as they're being cooked. At clean-up time, of course I'm always welcome there .

They can't ban me. I'm the Karvermeister. Give me the carving knife and fork, and get out of the way. LOL

Ban me: you don't eat! I do most of the cooking on holidays: Grilled turkey, homemade bread, pies, cranberry sauce, real mashed potatoes. Nothing out of a can here!

Happy Thanksgiving to my southern neighbors. I've already celebrated this day and over-stuffed myself with all the good food one can possibly enjoy. I don't get banned from the kitchen either....if I did I wouldn't eat. (The plight of a bachelor )

I do the cooking, the wife does some of the clean-up. Cooking turkey, mashed taters, my world famous dressing and I baked three pumpkin pies yesterday...taking one up to where I work so they could have a nice fresh pie. Today and Christmas are the only days I get to ban the wife from the kitchen.

(It's starting to smell really good in here right now....getting the drools!)

We celebrated thanksgiving last month, I was working out of town that day but a local bar owner, that happens to know a bunch of guys from the rig, brought out turkey and all the fixins for us. That was unexpected and a nice surprise.
