damnit damnit damnit, nothing ever pans out, I stopped by to look at this truck and the lady told me "sorry but he gave it away", I asked her if she had the number to the person who got it so maybe I could buy it from them and she was like NO ITS GONE!
I followed up on a 94 that someone rolled and they just sold it two... I'm starting to get anxious... I know of one more truck sitting around which I'm gonna try tomorrow, if it doesnt work out I may end up stealing a whole one j/k.....
Does anyone know of any blown motor, wrecked, bad titled TTB 4wd trucks for around $800????? I know thats expecting a bit much at that price, but I know I've seen entire trucks that run for that cheap.... I just dont want to buy it piece by piece now that I realize how expensive it would be...
did you get my pm? i remembered i have all the bracketry that goes with the D50 ttb setup i have so i thoiught if you were still interested it would make things go a lot smoother!

I remember seeing the same article telling about TTB alloys. I have two TTB setups that are out already and some other parts trucks too. There are 5 bolt 16.5 wheels out there- they are very rare but I have seen them!! Heres an idea- use the coil spring 44TTB setup but use the 50 centersection and then put the 8 lug stuff on from the knuckle out! I know the 50 center will work in the 44 suspension using the 44 coilspring axleshafts, I know two people that have done it. Can't say for shure if the 8 lug stuff will bolt on in place of the 5 lug stuff, but from what I have looked at it seems that it should, but you would have to go knuckles and everything.
I still had the issue of Four Wheeler in the bottom of my work locker that had the alloy TTB axles in it- They are made by CTM and it said something to the effect of limited availability or something like that. I was referring to using the 8 bolt knuckle out setup from a 44TTB on the half ton beams-not the 50, just the 50 centersection. Also, I have seen that setup that uses chevy parts for an 8 lug setup too, but I believe that the guy that did it was primarily interested in being able to use 15 inch wheels- options are always a good thing though. If you are really serious about going 8 lug i can do some rough measuring and eyeballing to get a better idea if the 44TTB stuff wil interchange-I have both setups on parts trucks and it might be a handy thing to know in the future.
I found yet another truck, but it seems like it doesnt bellong to any one, its in a rock yard for a rock company, it has a blown motor and has been sitting there for 4 years... I need to call monday and see if I can get some info on it, maybe they will tell me just to come pick it up.... Hoxii no offense, but I wouldnt pay $1,00 for anything with a blown motor, but thanks for the help...
Ok so what difference would it make if I used the 50 center section on the 44? I think I'll just stay 5 lug because I just found a set of 15x10" wheels.... I have no clue what gear ratio this truck has (the one I'm trying to get) but I doubt that a 300/6 4wd truck would have anything higher than a 3.55....

you talking about one of those trucks sitting on the side of the road where it looks as if the mountain was cut out and all the trucks and heavy equipment are layig around? just curious...i have always wanted to stop by and get some of that steel thats laying around! or are you talkin about the equipment at the intersection where you turn to go to hanging dog and theres that cute lil gas station with 1 or 2 pumps (if!)
