Does anybody have a source for the rubber mounts for the transfercase on 67-72's?? They're likely the same as 73-77's as well. On a side note, I've been going crazy lately trying to find an uncomfortable vibration in my 70. Nothing I did had any effect until I rebuilt my spare dana 24 T-case and swapped it in tonight. The difference is unbelievable. All the vibrations are gone and the noise in the cab is half what it was before on the freeway. The old girl drives like a brand new rig! Might be something to check out if you're having a similiar problem.

I got mine from the dealer a few years back. Also try NAPA.
How was it rebuilding that D24? I just replaced the origonal one that was in my Ford. It didn't vibrate, just leaked like crazy. I replaced the seals in the spare I had before bolting it up into the truck.
Did you have problems getting the right seals for the selector shafts? The parts store only listed a single lip seal. We did some looking and found the douple lip seals. The single lip seals only keep the oil in and doesn't keep stuff out like water.
I didn't go as far as replacing the shift rail seals on this 24. just bearings, seals and speedy-sleeves. I did replace those in the 23 under my 59 chev napco. Can't remember if they were double lip or not. You have a real good point about dirt getting in. I'm gonna look at that source for the T-case shifter boot right now. I need those darn things for 2 trucks. Thanks.
