about a year ago I took my truck to ford due to the severe vibration during breaking in the front end. They "replaced" the front rotors (so they say) and installed new ones. Now 12 months later, the same problem occurs. The truck is outta warranty so I take it to a mechanic friend. He shows me these rotors he took off....with a torch.....the things were rotting. Literally. One of them had a golfball size hole in it. He also tells me that the rotors had been machined well past the reccommended specs. Whats up with this. Why cant there be a halfway decent dealership that fixes these problems right the first time. And tells you the truth about the work they do. Now I know if I had taken the truck to them with it out of warranty I would have needed everything from rotors to a new flex capassator.
If it has only been 12 months since the repair was done you may still be in the warranty from the repair. Most Dealerships will cover repairs for that amount of time usually 12 months or 12000 miles whichever comes first. As far as a flux capacitor I think they are on backorder due to the King ranch editions lol
I had the same problem with my rotors on my 1999 f250 . the rotors were flacking apart and swelling up. the dealership said yep they'll do that. That was not a good answer for me. I just think they are using cheap steel from mexico.
