engine warmer 05 psd
What is involved with instaling one of these? Does ford offer a good one threw parts department? Just one more item I didnt order when I orderd my truck.I live in california but spend weekends snowmobiling in the mountians.Yesterday I was in truckee ca in the mountians and -10 and my truck didnt want to start. Any advise would be great .They only sell diesel#2 here isnt #1 better for the cold?

I was under the impression the diesels came with a block heater unless it was specifically ordered without one. That would be the "Cold Weather Delete" package. Look for the cord stuffed behind the front bumper.

i think that all 05's have the block heater but only certain states have the cord. the dealer can order the cord and either you can install it or pay them. read on another thread that it is a real pain to install the cord.
