After 28 days I finally got my F450 back, with a new engine. Build date 11/08/04. I was so excited that I can't really comment on the improvements with the new flash or anything else. Today I leave for vacation. Just a short pull today then tomorrow I'll drop my trailer and put in some "break-in" miles. Won't be able to get on line for a while so we'll see you when we see you. Thanks for all you help everyone. Especially SBV45 and Tim.

Got my break-in miles yesterday and pulled 15,000# for 375 miles today. Pulled from Salem, Or to Redding , CA. Smelled some oil tonight will check the block etc. in the morning. May have to wait until I get to Yuma to have the dealer check for a gassket leak or something.
Redding, Ca to Yuma, AZ? There are a load of dealers tween them two places.
Definately. I just hope that if I need one, it'll have the best diesel mechanic in all the land. The engine didn't smell too bad but the smell of oil is the smell of oil so I've got a leak somewhere but I didn't notice a drip yet. We'll just have to keep an eye on things.
On my new brand 6.0, I noticed some minor leaks that went away after the seals seated with about 1000 or so miles. If you find a leak next to exhaust, wipe it off and it might just go away before you make it to your favorite mechanic.
