hard starting

88 f350 7.3 5spd 4x4
put on 8000 kms past couple months
whether turned cooler started to have difficulty starting,cranked fine
replaced three dead glow plugs everthing was fine for a couple weeks
now it has difficulty cranking,there is a massive power drain when i turn the key
2 1050 cca batts are good,alts good ,and when it fires up everthings good
just don't want to get stranded
any ideas?

Re-check the glo plugs.You should have prolly changed them all.

a little more info would be beneficial. does it crank real slow as if the starter is dragging or is there just a huge drain on the batteries ? The starters are very tempermental and just hate the heck out of being over cranked. Also make sure that you have all the glow plug wires installed tightly and didnt bump another wire off a terminal.

yea it cranks slow
craweled under truck, japanese starter
when i hook up the battery charger tester, it reads 100% charged
could the starter be shorting out ,wearing out, its got 368000 kms on it
