Engine Warranty Question

Hi All!

I have an '01 7.3L F250 automatic with 94K miles on it. Tonight it died while driving. No miss, rough idle, just like I shut the key off. Started up easily though. It died a couple more time on the way home. Now the "Service Engine Soon" light is on and stays on.

Is the 100K $100 deduct engine warranty transferrable? I'm not the orginal owner.

Thanks!

P.S. Does this sound like the Cam Sensor?

get a sensor from ebay and do it yourself, you can do it cheaper than what the stealership deductable.

More Questions

Thanks for all the info! 77hiboyboy, I did not think of Ebay, I checked a local parts store here and the part was $138.00.

I dropped her off at the "Stealership" this AM.
Now I'm worried, the Service Tech did not know if the Cam Sensor was covered under the warranty or not. He said the warranty only "covers internally lubricated parts" and he would have to check the part number to see if it's covered.
He also said a typical price to repair "check engine light" issues is $250.00 - $350.00
This is a very large Delaership, the service rep should know whats covered or not shouldn't he? I can't be the first F250 to have this issue.

CAMP is covered if you are under the 100k, I just had mine done about a month ago. But they lied and didn't tell me about the 100 dollar deductable. I could have bought a 45 dollar sensor myself. It'll be 100 bucks for you to get it out.
