Cam gear
This might be a dumb question, but is there any certain way you pull the timing gears out of a 300? Ive tried the conventional v8 way, with a puller, but I cant get it to budge.

I remember trying to pull a cam gear off with a 3 jaw puller, and it was useless. The best method that I've read AND TRIED is to use a T style puller (yeah actually one of those cheapo pullers). Drill and tap two holes (180* apart (close to equal distant from the center) and use the T style puller to get'er off. It worked like a charm...on a cast gear that is. I can't speak for a phenolic one.

O well no worry now, i ended up pulling the whole cam out and having to knock the gear off with a hammer and chisel, never seen anything on there that tight, but im glad i pulled it though, the cam was worn down to the casting on the lobes so far, they felt rough.
