Power Window Problem

What could be causing my power windows to roll down unevenly and become hung up in the window track? I usually end up having to push the higher end down and the window will then roll down.

I don't know much about power windows, but I would guess the tracks aren't adjusted right... Purely physics speaking...

92, pull off the door panel and inspect the window regulator. You will either have a broken or bent arm on the regulator or a broken or bent slide on the window sash channel. Actually, i think ford calls it a sash but it would be better to point it out in the picture and see what name they put with it.

Both repairs are not too complex, both involve a large riveter and the sash channel involves pulling the glass and not cracking it while riviting the new sash channel on. The hardest part about the regulator repair is not scratching the tint if the glass has aftermarket film.

Hope it helps.

if the window track felts are worn off this would possibly make the window stick. i have a 93 areostar that does just what you describe and i took some silicone lube and sprayed the grooves in the window groove and the problem goes away until the silicone wears out, about 2 to 3 months.

Tried the silicon spray route and that worked like a charm. Thanks for the help.
