I have an 88 ranger, 4x4, standard shift, extended cab, I would like to swap out the 2.9 and replace it with a 302. I have heard tales that it will go right in. If anyone can give me some guidance it would be greatly appreciated.

They definetly don't just slide right in but it is "supposed" to be an easy conversion. I am beginning my 302 installation in the spring and have found this websites very helpful.
