I ordered stock mirrors for my 66. The driver's side went on fine. However, on the passenger side mirror I don't see how to line it up so that I can use it while driving.
What am I missing? Is this mirror for use by the passenger only?

Hey Rob,
I just put the passenger side mirror on my 66. These are original style mirrors. They fit into a slot cut in the door. I'm having the same problem adjusting the mirror so it is functional. So far all I see is the ground on the side of the truck.
I'm pretty sure that the left and right are the same mirrors.
I'm hoping the guru's will be along to help us soon.
My mirrors are hit by the vent windows when opened but they do offer a correct rear view for the driver (albeit small and a little uncomfortable). The passenger side is nearly a straight extension of the mount bracket and mirror leg. I did have to remove the glass and tighten the inside so that it wouldn't migrate every time the door was slammed by someone lacking '66 finesse.
