When was 4sp. manual available?
Does anyone know what years a 4 speed manual trans was available in the late 80s/early 90s on an F150 4x4? Any help would be appreciated.

By the way, what is the model of the 4 speed from an 89. I just bought one today and may need a new input shaft bearing since mine is noisy. Just need to know what to call the transmission so I can sound intelligent and not get taken when I want to get it serviced.

It's either an NP435 or a T-18. Look at the door post tag. The trans code will be an 'A' for an NP435, and an 'F' for a T-18.
