i already kissed my six goodby in 1980 sitting in yakama wa. when saint helens blew it's lid. and watched the towers come down on 9/11 from the river guess it dosnot matter anymore

boy is that the truth! don't ever trust one . i made that mistake in 70k a 01 dakota 4x4 had 8 ball joints, 3 brake jobs, 1 steering rack, 1 auto trans, 1 rear end rebuild, 1 torsion bar, 1 rebuild of the rear springs . g-- bless fords

I have to question some of the 'facts' on the site. They say a island in the pacific could collapse and the enegy from that could be converted into a wave standing 900 meters tall and travel 500 miles per hour. Now I may not be einstien, but I am in my 4th year in mechanical engineering and ace'd all my physics classes. I just do not see that as logically possible. It seams the way they found those figures was by calculating how much total energy and total displacment was in the collapsing island and applied that instantly to the oceans water, instead of over the period of time of the actual collapse. Im guessing they didnt even factor in the viscosity of the water or the friction head. Sure is entertaining to read though!
