Towing Question
I have a 87 Ranger with a 2.9L and auto trans. I want to put a ball on the bumper to tow a trailer. I want to haul around a 48 inch walk behind mower and maybe a few misc. items. the trailer is 5 X 9. Would I have to get a different type hitch that mounts to frame for this and would I need anything else?

yes you can do all that pulling with your truck...my uncle had the same year and engine as yours and he never had a problem with it. he did haul lots of top soil around but i would not put anything more heavier on it .
