2002 Ranger DPFE code

I want to know what is involved in replacing the EGR Pressure Valve on a 2002 Ford Ranger. Can anyone assist with this request. I need to replace it because I have a P1400 code associated with the check engine light.

This may be covered under the warranty extension for the Delta Pressure Feedback EGR...I would check with the dealer first and get it done for free.

On my 2000 3.0 its a breeze, it's right on the front of the intake manifold, two screws, to hoses and an electrical connection.

Gary, as Ctboyle has suggested, if your still under the warranty you paid big bucks for, DON"T mess with it, make it your dealers problem. Your still within the 36 months part, but I don't know about the milage requirement. Check it out, could be a no additional charge fix.

It is an emissions component and is warrantied for 8 years/80,000 miles (correct the numbers if I'm off on the mileage). Take it in and let the dealer fool with it.
