80 mph governer

Friends,
I recently had my 6-oh in the shop for an exhaust manifold leak (exhaust smell in the cab plus the ticking noise of a EM leak.) Also, they were going to check out the turbo drone. Well, the shop technician (a PSD certified mechanic) was booked up with some commercial vehicles so they asked if I could bring it back another time. I gladly agreed, although they had my truck all day before we figured this all out.

Well, the next day or so I had to make a trip to a job site about an hour an a half away and it is nice open road in Michigan (speed limit 70) so I decide to open it up a bit. To finally cut to the chase, I eased up to but not past 80 because the truck wouldn't do it. I matted the pedal and nothing happened. I don't think that the shop touched the truck when it was in but you know, I don't remember if I have been up to 80 since my truck got a new PCM a month or so ago. Anybody have any ideas about an 80 mph governor?
Here is the flash info:

Date: 10-8-04
Flash #: 3U7A-12A65A-FVD

I think that last character in the middle group is an "A". It looks as if the mech. used a Marks Alot to write on the flash sticker (about the size of a business card.)

Any thoughts?

Big

Usually the Speed limiter is set for 89/93 I have heard of a few that were lower...never 80....Buy a tunner form MotorHaven nd it takes away the speed limiter nad help you get to unlimited speed a bit quicker.
