460 ex man problems, drive it?

We're on an around the perimeter of the US towing our 10,000 lb trailer with our 1995 E350/460 and have exhaust manifold leaks again. Fixed one at 44,000 miles and again last fall at 98,000. Both times right side of course. Now at 107,000 and in Virginia I've been driving it several thousand miles now with a leak because I've had to. The sound still pretty much goes away when hot. Rather than have it fixed far from home I'm wondering why not drive it the 4,000 miles back to AZ (home) where I can install Thorley headers myself. My big fear is getting it into a shop and needing to get real involved pulling heads etc. I'd much rather do that at home.

So what can it hurt to drive it? I have a very good CO monitor so I can use that to keep up to date on that situation. Any comments would be appreciated.

The Only Thing It Will Hurt Is Your Ears. Been Driving The Same Way For Awhile, Just Havn't Coughed Up For The Banks Or Thorley's Yet.
