I Bought A 1992 F-250 Super Cab 4x4 It Had A Few Problems One Of Witch Was Cracked Ex Manifolds With Broken Bolts I Couldn't Realy Tell How It Ran Because Of The Noise. To Salve The Problem I Found A Set Of Headers From Headman Hard To Find For My Truck They Where The Shorty With Egr Port. After Installing Witch Was Not Easy And Replacing The Plugs Wires And Rotor And Cap It Ran Great Untill I Took It Out On The Hiway. It Gets Up To Speed Pretty Good But If You Floor It It Feels Like It Has A Carb That Is Coughing It Lags And Speeds Up And Lags. I Took It To A Shop He Ran The Computer And He Tought It Was The Egr Even Though It Showed Good But The Code Came Up Low Voltage To The Egr He Thought Sence I Changed The Manifolds That It Changed The Backpressure Making The System Not Run Right. He Told Me To Block Off The Egr And See What It Would Do. I Did And It Runs Worse When It Lags You Can Feel It Clear In The Drive Shaft It Lags Hard And Takes For Ever To Get Up To Speed. My Question Is Are We Looking In The Right Place Or Could It Be Somewhere Else. This Truck Had No Upkeep It Had 140000 On The Factory Plugs And Wires. My Buddy At The Shop Isn't For Sure That It Is The Egr But That Was The Only Code. Any Ideas? Thanks Jay
