yeah, i dont know why it slides back it might just be a freak accident, but i mad the front hinge just like the one you did. i am using electric actuators.
i had one like the one showng on your web page but could not find another one so i bought two new ones. when the front end comes down to the cowl and stops it slides towards the cab just alittle. i tried different vehicle latches but i could not get it to work right, i post some pictures on the latches, they are hard to explain and sounds like something some hillbilly might slap together with tape but they are hardly noticable and work great.

well , this hillbilly would appreciate a picture... I'm much more easily trained with visual aids... that's why Playboy was one of my favorite teen mags
