A4ld front seal replacement
Anybody ever changed the front seal on an A4ld? getting a replacement tranny soon and part of the 6 month guarntee is replaceing the tranny seals and filter. Looks like the rear seal will be easy. The tranny will be out of vehichle so I will have the time. What say you? any tips or advice

Am I understanding this correctly? You're buying a transmission and you have to replace the seals and filter to maintain the warranty? Sounds very suspicious to me.
The front seal is easy, like most seals. It's not the only seal on a trans. What about the shifter linkage seal that fails a lot?
Be cautious of the deal.

The tranny is from a shop that parts out insurance claim vehicles, they beat every other tranny shop with the warranty and price buy $300. I have several friends that have used this company with good reports. The only seal they require replaceing is the front seal.
