351m-timeing-gears

ok guys this is my problem my timeing gears and chain are shot--its a 78 f-250 4/4 i want to do away with that retarded set that in there no --so i went and bought a set for a 71 351c --is that the right set to buy --and do i have to do any thing diffrent or will this just bolt right in --sorry for the long post -just want to make sure i do this right--with your guys help i get it done-thanks

It should. Personally I went for a good set of aftermarket rollers and degreed my cam so I knew for sure that it was installed at 0 deg. I found out that when I installed the gears "straight up" my cam was less than half a deg off.

im a little cunfuzzed i got my old set out and the marks on the bottom gear is on top with the key way on top--and the top gear mark is on the top they dont meet in the middle like the book shows so how do i do the new one

mayby its me but i dont see no diffrents in these gears new from old i just no i dont want the retard timeing in there--boy they look the same to me
