Fog Lights

Looking at buying a 97 F150 4x4 suoer cab. It is the XLT that has the cutouts for the fog lights but no lights. Does anyone know where to get the lights and I am assumong that I will need the wiring harness also. I know I can get it from Ford but was looking to pay less than what the dealer charges. The headlight switch looks like it is also set up for the fogs. ???

Also looking for 4X4 decals for the bed. I want ones that look origional not the cheap autostore ones. I bought them from motorhaven for my 95 but could not find them again.

Thanks in advance

Chris

For the items that you seek, my first suggestion would be in this order:
ebay
salvage yard
fordparts.com

I know for sure that you can get the decals on both ebay and fordparts.com.

The wiring harness may already be there. If it is it will be stuck to the radiator support behind and below the headlights. If it is there, you will need the foglights and the headlight switch.

Hi, I have the factory fog lights. They are cute and seem like a kewl idea but they seem kind of useless. Not enough light to make much of a difference. You might think of putting on a nice set of "real" fog lights.

Are there any aftermarket that fit nicely into the cut outs?

Check ebay, they have some from DEPO that are made for the 97-98s.

I have some of the Depo fogs in my truck. There are lots of "OEM Style" fogs on ebay also. But for about the same price you should be able to get the Depo's. I think mine was about $100 shipped.

Now I just have to buy the truck and see if the wiring is in there. I should have the truck by 12/3/04 unless something better comes along. lol Thanks for all the responses
